A new Iowa lawyer ethics opinion holds that a lawyer may not accuse another lawyer of being unethical for tactical or strategic reasons and must report another lawyer's misconduct to the state bar's professional regulatory authority. Here is a link to the opinion:

If a lawyer makes an allegation of misconduct on the part of another lawyer, he or she must report it to the state bar. Otherwise, the lawyer making the accusation has engaged in misconduct and is subject to discipline.
