James M. McCauley is the Ethics Counsel for the Virginia State Bar. Mr. McCauley frequently lectures and writes about legal ethics. He teaches Professional Responsibility at the T.C. Williams School of Law in Richmond, Virginia. He is a Fellow of the Virginia Law Foundation and the American Bar Foundation. Mr. McCauley is a member of the American Bar Association’s Center for Professional Responsibility, the National Organization of Bar Counsel and the Association for Professional Responsibility Lawyers. Mr. McCauley is also a member of the Virginia State Bar’s Mandatory Professionalism Course Faculty. Mr. McCauley also serves on the ABA's Standing Committee on Legal Ethics and Professional Responsibility.
